Swimming

Ordinary Miracle
It's not that unusual
When everything is beautiful
It's just another ordinary miracle today
The sky knows when it's time to snow
Don't need to teach a seed to grow
It's just another ordinary miracle today
Life is like a gift they say
Wrapped up for you everyday
Open up and find a way
To give some of your own
Isn't it remarkable
Like every time a raindrop falls
It's just another ordinary miracle today
Birds in winter have their fling
Will always make it home by spring
It's just another ordinary miracle today
When you wake up everyday
Please don't throw your dreams away
Hold them close to your heart
'Cause we're all a part of the ordinary miracle
Ordinary miracle
Do you want to see a miracle?
It seems so exceptional
The things just work out after all
It's just another ordinary miracle today
Sun comes up and shines so bright
And disappears again at night
It's just another ordinary miracle today
It's just another ordinary miracle today

HBOT (Block 3) Sessions 37 and 38

Well this morning I was in with Daddy and decided now was a great time to create a really - REALLY stinky nappy! HBOT is good for detoxing out all the rubbish in my system and this is the way I get rid of it. Mummy is a bit surprised that it took us 3 weeks worth of HBOT before I started to do this. Normally it works a lot quicker for me. Since we are on the subject, on Saturday I did 7 dirty nappies!

HBOT (Block 3) Sessions 35 and 36

Today I did both sessions with Mummy. I was really active inside the chamber. I  think Mummy even caught me looking at the tv a few times... :D The two sessions just flew by

Kaufman Center - Day 14

I started today in the swing, to help stimulate my vestibular system. This is what helps me to organise and process all the information I am given during  therapy.

I sat up big and tall and keen to start today

I sat up for a drink from the one way straw. Look at my lip seal! I am owning that straw!

Back to the swing with the Z-Vibe for a bit. I really love the vibration of the Z-Vibe

I am starting to nail these frozen blue berries. I chew them up with my big back teeth and swallow them down.

Jessica thinks I should get the hang of sucking from this little food bottle fairly easily. Sometimes I can squeeze it myself too when the mood takes me

I finished the day trying to blow on the recorder. I am much more accepting of new things in my mouth now.

This was my last session with Jessica for this trip. She is going away on holidays so I will see some other therapists for my last week

TheraSuit September 2013 - Day 15

Today the thought of therapy made me tired.

I worked on some snow angel exercises. When my arms come down by my side I open my legs out

This exercise is for hip stabilisation. I move my legs together to the side to shift the ball off the table. If you do this exercise yourself you can feel how you use both legs to move your body to the side. It will help me be able to stand up tall on my own

I was standing tall here for a while, but I do still tend to flop over.

So Nico bends me right down and puts some pressure on my shoulders. This makes me want to stand up again. It is similar to when a drawer gets stuck and you pull it out some more before you can push it back in.

Standing in the spider, I practiced some stepping. I have a pretty good stepping pattern. Lift, move forward, heel down and lift off on my toe

Mummy and Nico noticed today, that I actually take better steps with out the suit on my legs! I tend to get a bit stuck together around my knees with the suit on

HBOT (Block 3) Sessions 33 and 34

I have been doing the mornings in with Daddy and the afternoons in with Mummy. I was a bit cranky in with Daddy this morning, but I was still happy for a cuddle.

Kaufman Center - Day 13

Jessica and I started our session in the swing. I love the swing!

We worked on chewing frozen blueberries with my back molars. I wasn't as cooperative as I was the other day, but I still managed to do a couple of good chews.

Each afternoon when I go in there is a table full of goodies for me to try. In the bowl there are frozen strawberries and frozen blueberries.

There were crispy chicken nuggets, waffle, veggie sticks (like chips) carrot, celery, cucumber and apple sticks.

I didn't care much for trying the new food today. I wanted to stick with my Z-Vibe.

We are also starting to work on verbal communication. I really love to swing and Jess is prompting me to say "Oh" as in "Go" I did this a few times!!!

I wasn't too interested when Jess tried to get me to blow into the recorder. I tried to push her away BUT when she didn't give it back I sat bolt upright and reached for her. I reached so hard I fell out of the swing! She had to race forward and catch me!

And look what I wanted to do! I put that recorder right to my mouth. I didn't blow, I just wanted it in there. Another really great day of therapy.
